Candidate Demmer Makes A Strange Claim About Israel
Israel was founded in 1948. However, according to the Republican candidate running for Minnesota’s First District Congressional seat, Israel has apparently been around for much longer. Randy Demmer says “peace talks have been going on between Israel and Palestine for thousands…probably a thousand years.”
Independence Party candidate Steve Wilson follows up saying he doesn’t think it has been that long. Both are running against Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party Congressman Tim Walz. The remarks were made at a debate in Mankato, Minnesota.
