Dubbed “right to work” by its supporters and “right to work for less” by its opponents, a controversial constitutional amendment dealing with unions got approved by a 7-6 margin Monday morning in the Senate Judiciary committee. It now goes to the rules committee.

The bill was heard today in the Senate Judiciary committee in hopes of getting a favorable hearing, since there are Republicans who oppose it in the Senate Jobs committee.

There was one hour of testimony allotted for supporters, one hour for opponents. Discussion on the bill went much longer.
