MN Voter Photo ID Authors Talk About Legislative Victory

All that is left to put a voter photo ID constitutional amendment on Minnesota’s general election ballot is now a vote in the House and the Senate. A version of the bill with new language was approved Monday night in a conference committee.

The bill’s authors Senator Scott Newman and Representative Mary Kiffmeyer spoke to The UpTake about why they wanted the constitutional amendment and what it took to get it to this point.
